Positioned directly adjacent to primary high-pressure soft seals or shaft seals, this precision-machined metal ring blocks the physical clearance gap between mating steel pump housings. Note

This high-strength rigid metal back-up ring is NOT included in standard soft-good seal kits (which typically only provide the elastomeric O-rings and soft PTFE rings).
